The research for a sustainable future
EcoraGroup’ s commitment for a sustainable future also involves cancer research. In fact, the company has donated funds to the Experimental Clinical Medicine Department, University of Ferrara.

The donations given by the Group to the Research Center have permitted to fund researches into  the controlling expression processes of a series of functions at cellular level, functions conditioned by the action of endogenous, pharmacology and environmental molecules.
Through epigenetic processes, the molecules can change the “programming” of genes without interfering with the correct base sequence that encodes genes themselves, giving effects not directly caused by changes in the DNA code.

Currently the work of the scientific staff, with Prof. Dal Piaz from the University of Ferrara and Dr. Barbara Pavan, has focused the researches on cellular differentiation, the starting point of the epigenetic studies, reaching important results of international interest.
